New Topic Release Schedule for NOF Events
We’re making an important change to when we release event topics for Congress, NOF Mock Trial, and Assigned Platform. In the past, we released topics two weeks before the tournament. However, with other leagues and tournaments adopting our topics, this timeline has shortened the prep time for some competitors.
To ensure everyone has ample time to prepare, we’re introducing a new schedule: event topics will now be released on the first of every month at noon Pacific Time. This means that no matter when your tournament takes place, you’ll have a consistent, reliable timeline for accessing topics. This new policy will go into effect on November 1st, 2024.
All of our topics will be available on the registration page and also on our website. We’ve created a new page that lists all the topics for upcomig tournaments. The link to that page is here.
Our goal is to give competitors more time to research, plan, and practice their speeches and cases. By releasing topics at the beginning of each month, we’re ensuring a fairer prep window for all competitors—whether they’re competing in National Online Forensics tournaments or other leagues that use our topics.
This shift provides a longer, more predictable preparation period, allowing you to build stronger cases and improve your performance. Mark your calendars for the first of the month, and be ready to dive into your topics early.
Thank you for adapting with us as we continue to improve the competition experience. We look forward to seeing the amazing work you’ll do with this extra prep time!
