Tech Tools: Center Cam

As part of our community spotlight, National Online Forensics (NOF) highlights various tools and services that help the forensic speech and debate community. This month, NOF is spotlighting Center Cam. Center Cam is an innovative web camera that attaches to laptops or monitors and hangs in the center of the screen, allowing ‘eye contact’ during online video meetings or being able to use a computer as a teleprompter without additional software.

Online speech and debate offers a multitude of benefits, but it does require new skills for the online format - chief among them is effectively speaking to a camera instead of a room or an auditorium. Center Cam can make that adjustment easier and we hope that it will help fuel effective speech and debates in the future.
